LELE Ninjago with mini builds

For those that like to have minibuilds of Ninjago characters rides, LELE came out a 4 boxes set for this. Quite nice and cute. These are copies of ori Lego Dimensions Fun Pack, think its a video game

KSZ Ultra Builds - Star Wars

Star Wars fever.
Read from the net this KSZ release is only from bootleg company. Smaller scale version from earlier KSZ Star Wars ultra build series. Only now I know Treepio always has a silver shin.
My son says Vader do not look nice in "wide awake" mode. Ha, funny why they made his eyes look like this.
Actually, all the body pieces look alike for all the designs, only change of printed details and colors except Boba has extra pads (hence Treepio looked "Steroid")

Dargo 867* Space Wars

This is the first Dargo minifig set I bought. It uses the replacement name Space Wars similar to SY. Dargo is the first brand who came out the characters from the Force Awaken Star Wars movie. Well, this set is a bit Dark, the characters is mainly from the Dark Side (first order) and mostly black or grey colored. Anyway, Sabine (from Star Wars Rebels) adds some colors to this dark set. Quality wise, at least it is better than what LeLe's early days, with some of the minifig having some detail fixtures, most of the printing is good, but mainly simple. Many came with dual face - Sabine has a girl and boy face - haha

The Astromech printing is a disaster

I think when this set was out, the SW TFA movie has not been shown yet. Hence they cannot put a face to Kylo Ren. But at least they got the CROSS Saber correct. Has a torn cape too.

SY230C Death Stroke

I saw from the internet SY came out with a 8 box minifig (SY295) which consist of DeathStroke, but it did not come to my place. SY230C consist of a Big cannon together with DeathStroke minifig. The other A,B and D are all DC heroes - Superman, Batman and Flash with vehicle. BUT, all the other minifig is repeats (so, may not get them - the vehicle is just not good enough). The gun is OK, but kinda loose, but the orange is a bit striking. The helmet is good, but it also has a DeathStroke head inside, like DeathPool minifig.

If not for this set, I do not even know DeathStroke

SY363A Bat Mechabot

The mechabot do look good, but...as it is Batman, I kinda expect something much cooler, like all those vehicles from Batman. My elder son is busy "mindstorming" these days, so, get my 6 years old to build it. Hey, not bad, those leg joints are not those ball joint type, these are strong and sturdy. This set do not come with stickers, all are printed. The joker sure look different. After assembling, I do find this mech set is good, no easy to loose joints unlike earlier mech design. Batman always has the best design.

Movie time - the kids won 4 movie passes for Alvin and the Chipmunks TRC movie during a Q&A session at the Popular Book fair. They also won some movie merchandise. (Who says TV is a waste of time) So. only need to spend money on the Pop Corns.

LELE 79191 STAR Wars

For LELE- it is STAR WART. This set consist of a 6 minifig release, where if one buys all 6, a big space ship can be build from the accompanying pieces. But the pieces itself per box can also be build into either a smaller spaceship or a walker. I only got 2 boxes, both with walker, did not buy the remaining as mainly the minifigs are similar to earlier Star Wars bootlegs minifigs releases.

DLP9018 Star Wars

DLP uses STAR WARS at its original font, well, cashing in on the Force Awakens. The street peddler asked me how come out of a sudden so many Star Wars toys come out  Anyway, this 8  minifigs set DLP mainly came out with troopers, so, I only got 4 of them, the others mainly similar to the recent SY battle packs.

Finally I got Darth Sidious. Those Droids glows in the dark, but day time it is weird looking.

Sheng Yuan SY 289 (DC) Heroes Assemble

SY DC Comics Heroes released in 8 boxes set. Yes, most of the characters have been released before, but what's unique on this set is the side printing on the arms. SY printing detail is getting better.

MINDSTORM

Mindstorm - an Educational brick toy from LEGO. Come with a "brain", motors, sensors and mainly LEGO Technics bricks, hence building a design is just like playing LEGO. There are a lot on information from the internet on this, so no need to elaborate much. Together with software (programmable SCRATCH approach) and an expansion pack, this is really an expensive "toy". Come with two free classroom lessons. My elder son likes to play with the set, which can build a total of 5 designs and additional 4 designs with the expansion pack.

SY501 Space Wars AT-RT Walker

Another bigger walker set from SY. The legs are strong, but not easy to make a walking pose. Funny the Destroyer droids do not have the twin blasters. I checked that this is a Sniper Droideka, hence only a single rifle blaster. Also found out that there are actually many variations of Droideka. This set although is a copy of LEGO 75002 set, but it only has the same old Battle droid while Lego gives a Commander Droid captain

Popular Book Fair - Activities for Kids

Popular do not usually held book fair. A one week event with with lots of events and activities for the kids. One of the booth is introducing Mushroom plating kit for kids and adults. The small kit they gave does not work, but the big box mushroon kit, it can really grow mushroom.Nice.
