Minifigures - SY201C Cat Woman

Catwoman on a scooter - this SY201C set comes with traffic light and newspaper, Purrrfect
The diamond looks Purrfect on my bike

Frozen Friends

LeLe came out with the Frozen Friends set. Although the inside minifig do not look anything like Elsa, but LL did not really "lie", as it does show the actual figure on the instruction and back of the box. Quite nice looking. I bought 2 (the one with Elsa and Anna outside), but one of the minifig hand is so dammm hard to fit in (later on I got the one with the pony as well)
Cute poodle
Did not buy all 6, here's a picture from the net, don't look Fozen huh!

Transform Bots

Bought these TAIKONGSHENRS. This brand has been coming out a lot of the Transformer robots. The outer box illustration looks good, but inside the color is not that matching. I got a feeling that the plastic quality will not last, and true enough, my kid broke one of the joints during his "transforming" play. Anyway, compare to the original, these are cheaper versions for your kid to enjoy the joy of constructing, customizing and transforming the Bots. One of the box (Ironhide) did not come with instructions, so, just use the brain.
I went to take a look at the similar ori selling at dept store, somehow apart from the plastic looks better (not so sure), the color scheme is not so good. either. The joints for this some is loose (hard to pose), do not know if the "oris" are better.

Lenovo S

Bought this new smartphone - Lenovo S850
To the kids, this is a new game console for Angry Birds apps, and to try out their Telepods. With 16GB storage, many games apps can be stored.
This "teleport" thing can work on this new gadget
The kids were introduced to Star Wars during the first AB game

Gundam SD

Another BanDai Gundam - SD series. Compare with the cheap 3K gundams. this BanDai one is of course way better in terms of fitting and plastic quality. But, as it is listed as "This is not a toy", hence after assembly, it will be inside the display cabinet. By the way, this model can be make into five variant.. (3 robot mode, 2 plane mode)

WWE Team Up

Are you sure we can take on this green guy.....?

Michelangelo at Tower Bridge

Michelangelo is the first knock off (bootlego) mini figure(from Decool) that I got for my kid after they got hooked to the Nicklelodean TMNT series.Bought together with Raphael minifig, but Raph has lost his head. That's the good thing about bootleg lego minifigures, you can easily buy another without burning a hole in your pocket.
The Tower Bridge brick set is also the first Wange world architecture (under the brand Dr Luck) series that I bought. Not bad. 1033 pcs of bricks do takes quite some time to complete.
....from New York to London, Cowabunga!

Minifig Skeletons

These skeletons comes together with the LeLe Ninja vs. (2 in 1) set. Actually the Ninjago figures in this 2 in 1 set is not really that good, but good for playing apart from collecting. I just put these skeletons together for display as LeLe sold this set in 12 pieces set, together with the villains in the Ninjago series, and the skeleton that is given are all the same apart from the chest plate color. Quality wise, LeLe standard..... (by the way, the feet are originally white, I painted some black)
.... Hi Ho   Hi Ho-  kill all the NinjaGo...

Mario

JLB come out with the Mario minifig. Not really a fan of Mario (and JLB), hence I just buy 4 out of the 6 minifig. There's no comparison to compare, but again I face some problem with JLB fitting accuracy. One of the cap cannot fit the head. So, gotta use some "Force"
Mario, Luigi, Toad, Wario - Super Attack

LeLe is actually OK (not OK)

Previously bought the OK transformer ... now LeLe comes out with their set of transformer. LeLe (LL) is one minifig brand that have  yo yo quality. Some set are good, some set are bad.I thought why not make a comparison with the OK brand. After comparing, somehow, I think LL is actually OK, (referring to the brand -meaning LL brand is OK brand - and I not meaning OK, as good.... hope you know what I mean), and so in actual are similarly not so OK. If you find OK transformer not OK, then skip LL. (Actually, I am only not please with the offset printing, and the same is encountered with this LL set.)
But if you want some transformer minifigs just for your kids to play with, get the LL set, as they come with extra bricks made into "don't know what".

(somehow later OK brand come out with another version of the same Transformers - With Upgrade able weapon, which actually is just additional weapons included)

LELE is same as OK - Images from the net
The later OK

Decool Cars

Bought this Decool Lego brick like car set. The car has a pull back and release mechanism, so after the kids built them, they have a fun time competing seeing which car go the fastest, or furthest. But the mechanism do not last long, after awhile, it looses it's "kinetic" energy. Maybe the spring inside have lose some tension. Anyway, after the play is exhausted, it become a nice display set.
Got to know that this release resembles the Shell petrol station Lego Car promo later

World Cup minifig

2014 is world Cup year. This year the big event is hosted by Brazil. Since the football fever is ON, hence SY come out with a set of 8 pieces minifig during the world cup period. Somehow I do not really recognize who's who in this World Cup set. I believe these minifigs is not base on the new players. One person I can recognize clearly is Maradoma. I think the bald England player is Beckham, or can be Rooney.
Germany won the 2014  World Cup, with the great German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer winning the Golden Glove. Germany is always one of my favorites since the days of Beckenbauer. I am not a hardcore football fan.. The one minifig below which is carrying the trophy is base on one goalkeeper from Germany.(who?)
Each ninifig comes with a plain ball, kinda to easily get lost when played often

JLB Ultraman Minifig

JLB Ultraman Minifig. First JLB purchase previously is really a disappointment. Somehow this set of 6 pieces is quite OK. No missing parts and misalignment parts unlike previous purchase. In fact, there's one extra arm. Since Lego do not come out this "Salted Egg SuperMan" series (Ultraman is an Asian region hero), does it make this set an imitation Lego mini figures or original???
Consider a good buy for Ultraman fans. ( I know many Asian kids loves him) But the weapons given are funny - guns, saw (psycho), batarang...?
Knowledge :  Eiji Tsuburaya, the Japanese special effects director responsible for many Japanese science-fiction movies, being one of the co-creators of the Godzilla series, as well as the main creator of Ultraman
Are we consider imitation Lego minifig?

Angry Bird SPLAT

Another REAL angry bird toy - Angry Bird Splat. Just use the soft rubbery (sort of liquid filled) sticky Red bird to splat onto the Pig target,... or splat at any other places. The kids only like the red splat bird, but not the game play of the toy. The red bird do not really stay splat on to the target, will inflate back to original form after 2-3 seconds. Hence hard to see which pig got hit. Since the surface of the bird is sticky (not very sticky), it will collect dust from the surface it contacts. Soon all the dirt will be on the red bird. Good thing it can be wash away by water.
After much splatting, the paint-color on the red bird will starts to peels away. Our red bird is loosing an eye.

Treasure Hunt Sub

Small brick set from Enlighten bought for my small boy. He get his brothers help to build the sub. I find this set OK. Plastic quality is not quite Lego quality, but fitting is acceptable and good enough for my kids to play and be happy with.

Video Games

What is the toy that will always be on the top of the list?
Digital Video Game, be it in a Tab, Smart Phone or PC. The kids will choose this over any other toys. The first tab bought for my kids is from Viewsonic. Having a stainless steel surrounding rim, it sure can withstand a lot of drops. Even when the steel is dent, the tab is still workable, but finally the screen cracked. Then 3 to 4 cheap tabs followed but non last till to-date. PC is still reliable although not mobile.
BUT, I always feel that if we are going family outing together, a digital gaming device should not be getting in the way. Why go to the great outdoors if we are going to play video games??? The mobility of tab is good while waiting for appointments (hospital, bank, etc)

The closest tab looking toy during my days will be this - Game N Watch
Octopus
Parachute
I did not own these , just borrow to play from my cousin and friends last time. (also, the picture illustration is from the net, we do not have this classic anymore)

Below is a link to the Angry Birds games that my kids love dearly

Minifigures Gotham

Lego imitation Batman and friends minifigures from Sheng Yuan. (they are not from the same set)

Heroes Pencil toppers

These are suppose to be pencil toppers, but I find them cute, so I collect them. They are a bit too heavy to be at a pencil's end.
Meow! Let's play.
Can I have some ice cream?
You must be an A student
Money or Life? Don't run...!
We're so Vain

Hello Kitty

My kids does not really love Hello Kitty, but it is one of the toy in our house. (soft toy - from Mc Donald, I remember there's a craze last time to get this Hello Kitty soft toy)
Reason why I post this here is because Sanrio announced last week that Hello Kitty is not a Cat. She a little girl named Kitty White who lives in London and owns a cat..Ha Ha. (Is Sanrio trying to sabotage the popularity of their creation?)
Logically, can't say they are wrong.
I am not a Cat. I am a girl with whiskers and a tail
I can be a frog, rabbit, bird, panda /////
We can say Mickey mouse is not a mouse, he is just a boy living in the US who has a dog named Pluto.

Audley Drift

Just have to try out what is so fun about this Audley remote control (RC) cars (Their Ads is very impressive).
The excitement is there initially, but subsided very fast. Even though it comes with 2 different set of tires, but it is not even used. Maybe my kids do not have an interest in RC cars. Unless they go and join some organized toy car racing circuit to boost the enthusiasm, the interest in RC cars drains down as fast as the batteries inside the RC toy. The kids seem to spend more time playing their die cast metal (or plastic) cars rather than the RC car. Those “manual” cars excite their imagination more than the RC cars. The more mechanized and automated a toy is, the lesser will be the imagination during game play.
I thought these branded remote control is durable (as I have bought those non-branded before), but somehow it broke after a certain stress of turning force from a kid. And this type of toys is really power hungry. Seems like I am contributing to the waste of the environment with all those used batteries.
