Lex Luthor Power Armour SY330

Lex Luthor Power Armour - The SY330 design is very similar to the Batman mech as well as the Superman mech (did not get it). Superman does not really need a mech, but Lex do in order to compete with Supe, and whats better than a mech is a mech with Kryptonite power source barrel gun to level the playing field.

This set cost more than Batman or Sups mech as it contained one additional minifig, Wonder Woman which is the same Wonder Woman released by SY during the Dr Strange set. Anyway, this design is copied from Lego Superheroes Superman vs Lex Luthors power Armour 6862. The green and purple color kryptonite robot has all similar articulation of the Batman mech which utilized the same parts, hence very solid-molid.
Search from the net, Lex actually do have a power armour suit, although not exactly look like the design depict by ori-LG. Read that he even saved the Justice League with the suit.

Also, there are other MOC variation from the net that uses the pieces from this set (or from the ori Lego set). So, why not mix and match and build your own MOC MECH.

Take a "Brick"

Been awhile I did not post anything huh. Seems like the bootleg makers have pull the brakes on minifig sets, mainly coming out with big sets. Even my frequent street peddler is selling back the AOU's , Ant Man minifigs,, even the old SY Toy Dino figs (well, it sells, kids like Dino). No new stocks. I remember almost weekly there will be releases of minifig set from various bootleg companies previously (remember the Lantern corps days). Its like they are taking a "brick" (break).

The street peddler did ask whether I wanted the Dunk team minifig (SY298), I say I'll pass for the time being.

Maybe minifig is no more selling like hot cakes.... Or, they are looking for the right time to launch their new minifig releases together with the blockbuster movie DC's Dawn of Justice and Marvel's Civil War. Well, the super heroes are practically similar, hope they make some variation to match the movie, with better printing, especially side printing. Anyway, believe other brands (Dargo, Doll, DLP, Elephant etc) which mostly do not come to my area will released a few new ones to enter the playing field

Try out some new brand coming out the ToBot series (stay clear from it). If your kid like ToBots, buy the actual toy figure which can transform to car.

Yes, I got the McD from Hshanhe mini street set later. Here is it. Noticed that mini Ronald McDonald clown? Still a let down on the stickers.

A reader asked me whether the brick's color is close to original Lego bricks color, well, I took some picture together with original Lego bricks, color quite matching and close enough.

SY296 - Captain America Civil War?

Hey Everyone

Captain America - Civil War - Is SY296 a pre-launch minifig to this movie? Well, most of the characters are in this 8 box set (yes, Spidey included), except the one I wanted - Black Panther. Anyway, looking at the characters from the trailer, the printing on the minifig don't really match, hence I just got 3 out of 8 from this set, and all are from CapA's side.Come with dual face printing and many side building bricks. Believe when the movie is out coming May, SY will release another set again, maybe they will get the correct Spidey suit then.

Sembo block - Musical and Animals

Today try my hand at building these micro blocks, woh, not easy. Maybe because the instruction is small, hence easily mistake where the studs will go. That is why the box stated suitable ages is at14+. Lego bricks just 6, some even listed 5. As usual, those places that are hold by single studs comes off easily, but, the finish design is good.

SY501 Ezra’s Speeder Bike

This SY set is base on the animated TV series Star wars Rebel which is also a clone of ,LEGO 75090  Ezra's speeder bike set. Consist of an Imperial speeder bike and Ezra’s customized Speeder Bike, togther with 3 minifigs: Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren and a Stormtrooper. Speeder is not bad, only Sabine's hair is a let down, really different from the ori Lego set.(BELA has the same copy, do not know if they have a better Sabine) Anyway, the sticker in the set I got is seriously cut offset.
