Sembo mini World Part II - Coke and Sushi

This sets from Sembo have slightly bigger box than earlier, but the price are the same.
Something out from Hansel and Gretel
Colorful and sweet
Coed Cold? - Anyway,, everyone knows the Real Thing
The round side view.

This set teaches us how to make Sushi
Nice wooden interior
The cross is kinda large
What is that green thing on the 2nd floor?
Box set comparison
Face the same problem of missing parts from 2 out of the 4 sets. I do not have any problem with Sembo nano-mini blocks, do not know why Sembo is so "not careful" with normal blocks. Anyway, unlike the first sets, these stickers are actually good quality transfers (or decals), where we need to peel off the transparent portion of the stickers and the pattern will be left behind - transferred to the intended area, So, one need to be careful with the pattern location/alignment, as once wrongly transferred, don't think we can peel it off to re-stick again.

  1. Got the Candy shop for my girl. All pieces available, buying bootleg really needs luck.
The decal sticker is great vs. usual sticker, the pattern look like it is printed on the brick after applied.

    1. I wonder why I did not see it from the internet.... turn out it is listed under the Mini Qute company, which when I look closely at the box, it is actually Sembo. Saw a 4 set Hotel series. Let's see if the street peddler can get them, anyway, I am still waiting for my Heineken.
By the way, LED bricks is not really LED lights right?

The bricks should have LED inside I guess. The lighting element has to be tiny to fit inside a brick rite. I dunno man, I am hoping you could check it out for me :D. I bet your kids would love it. Interior looks real good when lighted up.

  5. I did see before bricks with LED lights (connected to USB).
But for this case, it is quite strange that the advertisement did not really stress or highlight on this lighting feature. If this bigger sets really lights up, then it will be great, it may just be translucent bricks. If it do come over my area, will give one a try.

  6. I believe Sembo is using this piece of lighting for those sets.

    1. Hopefully. Seems kinda expensive, Y8.00 just for one piece.
By the way, you get your brick sets mostly from Taobao?

    2. No I have not bought any bootleg sets from Taobao. I did tumpang a friend to buy certain bricks last year because she has her regular agent. Just a small order.

BTW how much did you pay for these Sembo sets? In Ipoh, they are RM17-RM20 which I think is pretty expensive. Last year, the first Decool range of mini modulars, I could get them for around RM12 only. I miss those prices sigh.

    3. I see, your friend must be regular Taobao-er. Saw from the link you sent me those "certain bricks" don't come cheap, considering shipping is needed as well.
Good old last year, ouR-M was quite high then. I got my Sembo retails for RM52 per set (4x). Talking about Decool mini modular, just got the 2nd set of 4 yesterday (the one with ToyStore). They're great, a true mini modular street.
On the topic of the LED sets from Sembo, I saw from a site it do consist of LED lighting which can be switch ON-OFF. The site shows the picture illustration.

  7. RM52 for 4 is not bad. I can't get them cheaper than RM60 (x4) where I live. That's why I've been very very selective with what bootlegs I buy these days. A year ago, I splurged on bootlegs.

I look forward to some good photos of your Decool mini modulars.

    1. Some says big city KL can get cheaper, but, need to factor in the transport cost. Have completed the Decool set, but got another 5 box set of decool mini modular, the bigger set consisting of the hotel. Really love these mini modular sets. Since theses sets were "base" from ori-Lego, hence the design are great.
