But stumble upon a site selling custom minifig, and they really do look good. Cost Eoro2 = 2.2 USD . If I am earning USD, it is really quite cheap.
SY (or any other minifig brand) should come out with this "Horror Icon" series, or other icon series like Martial Art (not Ninjagos), Movie or Music Legend, Sports Legend, etc apart from SuperHeroes, SpaceWnrs, and LG duplicates, which is why sometimes JLB is a good buy
Yes, the Rock band Kiss is a good minifig candidates with all those make up and details. Bruce Lee vs Chuck Noris minifig, that will bring back some memories. Instrad of Iron Man, they can come out with Ip Man. Although many iconic movie characters has already been produced, but there are still quite many iconic characters, the internet has some fan-art illustration on these. Goody! Really wish they will be produced.
There are many old and new movies, TV series, Video games.... so many characters can be minifig-ed. Easier ones will be the cartoons, as the detail will be simpler.
Maybe because of the sales for similar ori-minifig are more sort after, hence they do not make much of their own creation. Doing Asian characters may only limit their sales within Asia.
Your point on the cartoon minifig is what I felt for earlier JLB releases. JLB is not good in details, but cartoon is fine for them. But one thing on cartoons was even though the details is not complicated, but the standard head cannot be use if they want to make something like Mickey, Doraemon.
